Bring your passport and order details to an LG U+ counter at the airport for identity verification. Incoming calls and SMS then work.

Before you buy

Your plan starts when you turn the eSIM on after arriving in Korea — not when you buy it, and not when you add it to your phone.
Incoming calls and SMS require in-person identity verification at an LG U+ airport counter. It cannot be completed online. The traveller must show their own passport.
Outgoing calls need a separate top-up in Korea (incoming calls and SMS are free once verified). You can top up at the LG U+ airport counter. If you run out while travelling, call 114 from your U+ line (free) or 080-851-1004 from any other phone (free) — it is the foreigner support line.
Data is 11GB per day. After that you continue at up to 5Mbps with no cap. The 11GB is refreshed every night at midnight.
You need an eSIM-capable phone. It will not work on a carrier-locked device.
Add the eSIM over Wi-Fi before you leave. Turn it on only after you arrive in Korea.
Data speeds may be managed during periods of heavy congestion.
